Reflex are reporting signs of recovery in the recruitment of IT, Technology and Digital staff despite the current turbulent times.  Clearly with COVID levels increasing across the UK, rising levels of unemployment and Brexit close on the horizon there is a lot to be very concerned about. However Reflex is reporting a slight upturn in the demand for staff covering both Contract and Permanent positions.

The levels in demand for staff are certainly well below pre COVID days but are well up from mid- summer when demand was virtually choked off. This echo’s comments from The REC which noted that Businesses have made a lot of progress on making workplaces Covid-secure and on effective home working – so hiring and onboarding online is becoming much more common. During the lockdown we have seen there has been much work on refocusing IT strategy, digital transformation and AI, together with the rebuilding of business models.

Clearly many sectors are hit are more than others but those who are recruiting are being very selective in what they are looking for. Reflex has worked hard to adapt to the changing market and although cautious to the challenges ahead, are more positive for the future.
