Reflex has noted marked increase in permanent salaries and some contract rates for IT & technology staff across many roles. This is reflected by the strong demand for staff not being matched by a plentiful supply of experienced and qualified people. Clearly the sad events in Ukraine affecting the world and resulting shortages in fuel, food and commodities driving up inflation, are also an important factor. Reflex hopes that 2022 will not be a year of massive pay rises as possible predicted by the firm Croner in last month’s reward report. However, we do feel that in the current fiercely competitive market for staff, wages will continue to rise.
