Reflex are pleased to highlight the latest KPMG and The Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC)’s UK Report on Jobs for the period 12th to 25th March 2021 which pointed to the sharpest rise in permanent placements for nearly six years. Contract / temp billings also increased sharply amid improved market confidence across the UK as a whole. It also stated that vacancies expanded at quickest pace since August 2018. This shows the economy is moving in the right direction with recruitment activity rebounds as firms prepare for easing of lockdown measures. However, the report did highlight that the availability of candidates remained broadly stagnant, largely due to concerns around how secure any new employment would be.
